“ My main inspiration comes from the study of nature.
For this installation I wanted to capture a moment in time that is both ephemeral and fragile in the twilight zone between Gravity-Weightlessness.

A desolate landscape where the interplay of materials, color and texture creates a feeling of Silence. ”

Artist statement
Eva Best 2013

“ I wanted to make an memorable image that was in contrast to the often colourless and dull nordic winter.

Thirteen trees was wrappped in fabric made by me. The fabric (Polyester and linen) was sewn by hand, shrunk bonded and then painted and printed after the manipulation.

This exhibition was a direct result of my first encounter with Shibori and fabric-manipulation.”
